Rhythm of Silence

Rhythm of Silence

Trusting Your Soul More Than Your To Do List

My mind has been loud and restless, racing around like a crazy person. I’ve been creating chaos instead of enjoying what was right in front of me, filling my calendar and overwhelming myself. The stress that I experienced was my fault because I was out of control.

As a business owner, wife, and mother, I thought that by providing for others, the rewards would come sooner or later. However, what I truly needed was not rewards but the silence that was trying to break through.

Silence was the detox I needed, but I hated it. It forced me to confront my emotions and reconsider my life, and I felt like I didn't have time for that. But my mind and body were getting ready to step into a new season of growth and the unknown.

Excited but nervous.

Trees, bees, and butterflies now surround me, and I feel my soul being nourished as I talk to God. Walking barefoot reconnects me with the language of the land. I take the time to look up at the clouds instead of focusing ahead, embracing the warmth of the sun on my face. I stopped fighting what was in my heart that whole time, and now I'm just living my truth.

I hear this quote in my head when self-doubt tries to creep in. “Silence is the root of everything,” a poem by Rumi. It represents our inner peace. Achieving mental tranquility, free from the clutter of endless thoughts, is not just a goal but an essential part of our spiritual journey.

Here is my advice to you! Take a moment to reflect on how you're nurturing yourself! Are you embracing gratitude or getting swept up in chaos? Remember that breathing is a choice, not a chore, and trust your soul more than your to-do list. - Carla
